Pardon the humble look of this page. I have recently started to learn HTML and am currently reconfiguring as I go along.
Anyway, about myself (for anyone who would care to read):

I have just finished my Masters degree in Ancient Cultures at the department of Ancient Studies where I am also currently employed.

I have already applied for a new Masters in General Linguistics.
I only recently, just before the turn of the century, discovered Anime when we had satelite TV installed, but I have been an avid (nay possessed) fan since. My other interests are Classical history, Medieval European history, and last, but not least Japanese culture and history. I've also been trying to learn the Japanese language bit by bit, but so far I only got most of their writing system under control. Furthermore I'm also very interested in languages in general (especially dead languages) and different writing systems and alphabets (semiotics).

Favorite non-anime sites I frequent and can really recommend just because it helps with my extra-curricular (i.e. non-anime) interests:

A level higher than the famous Wikipedia. In short a databasis that links all of the important online dictionaries, including Encyclopaedia Britannica and Wikipedia (to name a few). Therefore has multipule entries on almost *any* topic! Too much advertisements for my taste though. |

A *huge* databasis that gives the etymological evolution of at least the entire English vocabulary. Not everyone's cuppa' tea I know, but I'm trying to spread the good words. |

Now you can access Wikipedia in almost any language! It is categorised according to the number of articles per language. They already cover more than 200 languages (given that some 40 languages so far only has less than 10 articles). Wikipedia is still the best online reference dictionary as far as I am concerned. |

Probably the funniest site I have ever seen! Your standard Wiki Online Encyclopedia, but with the funniest articles - admittedly pure gibberish but still funny! Just a friendly warning to everyone writing articles and essays, do not use this site as an authoritive source....(^v^) Thanks to Enchanter for providing the link. |

The other place I frequently hang out at to acquire very high quality art on almost any theme. Just do a quick search and you'll get it. Try to latch unto the artist as well ;) . |

A very nice databasis with quite possibly each and every anime title ever made. A very good reference point to check up on some information and plot summaries of a title. |
